Note: records from 1985 to 1988 no paperwork available, but dealer records check showed that all the regular scheduled service was performed.

1989 Records
Jan 61723 Miles valve adjustment, oil change, wipers, air cleaner mounts, 60K service.
Sept 68884 65K service, oil, front pads, a/c, window switch.
Nov 71335 alignment.

1997 Records
Feb 4th, 1997 Chris purchases car from the second owner with 240,000 miles on the odometer. High miles but not for a Mercedes Diesel. Mechanically very sound however paint very faded, cracked, and pealing in areas. Interior very nice.

Aug 250000 oil, battery, front wheel bearings, rotors, calipers, brake pads (cheap kind) & brake lines, rear calipers and pads, rear sway bar bushing, brake fluid ate blue dot 3 racing, two oil leaks, air cleaner, rear trany mount, adjust valves, valve cover gasket, new oil filler cap.
Oct 253038 oil, fuel filter, rear suspension hydraulic accumulators, new hydro fluid and seals, window regulator left rear, sub frame mount, r & l front control arms, alignment, bushings lower control arm bushings, installed used gear box, tie rod ends need replacing, left rear door stop. 
Dec 255025 tailgate vacuum leak, front right door lock clip repair, car badly needs painting so off to walker enterprises in porter, TX.

1998 Records
Jan off to Walker Enterprises to a repaint. new hood insulation, all five door seals new, and four window runner inserts new. Paint Tartan Red PPG DBU73911 Mercedes code DB3515.
Feb Paint finished looks very nice, price $1825.00 very reasonable considering the quality of work. radio not working properly. sunroof need adjustment. new floor mats front and rear.
April 260,000 oil change, tie rod end replacement and alignment, a/c hose replace and charge.
June 263,500 state inspection
July oil change
Oct paint shrinking severe orange peal look - walker enterprises wishes to repaint car again. turns out PPG had a bad batch of paint. PPG paying for repaint. Car looks awesome after repainted the second time! trany service, brake fluid, steering box adj., rotate tires, new wipers.
Nov 266,750 cleaned and repainted rear wheel wells, cv boot marginally cracked.
Dec 266,823 replaced worn throttle swivel bushing, new air filter wix 42194, replace power steering pump gasket.

1999 Records
Mar 270,000 oil change, diff change with val semi synth 80w90. main and inline fuel filter change.
Apr 270,515 replaced all instrument panel bulbs, installed battery cutoff switch.
June 273,000 Tint windows, Re-dye leather seats with MB no 254 palomino. window dings fixed, oil change rotella t 15w40.
July Coolant system de oiled and decalcified with 1 cup tide liq and water, 1 lb citric acid, flushed and filled with MB coolant.
Aug Stripped and repainted wheels using PPG urethane MB OEM silver & clear coat.
Sept Transmission serviced, drained pan and torque converter, new gasket and filter, refilled with 6.5 quarts dex iii.
Oct Replaced front seal on power steering pump. Replaced both rear axles rennsport. replaced rear wiper motor but still does not work - maybe the relay.
Dec Steering box adj., replaced oil cooler lines - rennsport.

2000 Records
Feb 280,722 alignment, oil change, a/c leak fixed, rear wiper still not work - replaced motor, switches ok, relay ok, jumped two terminals on relay and wiper works except the intermittent.
Mar 280,811 cleaned banjo fitting and switchover valve on turbo and found cracked vacuum hose line. replaced hose better boost now. hydraulic line level system pump to rear failed replaced by bert allen Mercedes in gulfport, ms, replaced all belts.
Apr 283,881 oil change
Sept 284,688 replaced link on rear level control system
Oct 287,202 oil change, replaced Michelin mxv4 tires with Pirelli p4000 from discount tire.
Nov 287,323 replaced all fuel return hoses at injection pump, repaired freon leak at condenser and recharge.

May 301,496 Chris & Rachel purchased car back from Jim, oil change, brake system flush, and state inspection.
June Windscreen rock damage repaired. Time to think about a new windscreen as this one is heavily pitted.
6 July Massive parts order from Performance (two headlight covers to replace worn and sun cracked originals, all and I mean all filters, hood badge, & accelerator pedal bushing)
17 July Don't like the P4000 tires. Went to Discount Tire and they offered to give full retail credit on the P4000's towards buying a set of new and better riding Michelin MXV energy tires! Tires on order.
22 July 303,250 Replaced hazard switch Hella p/n 6HH 003 631-021 as turn signals sometimes don't work. Suspect hazard switch. If not hazard switch then replace relay next.
30 July 303,418 Installed Michelin MXV tires. Big difference in ride quality over the P4000. Thanks Discount for making the switch.
6 Aug 304,500 New wiper blades.
mid Aug ~305,500 oil and filter change
29 Aug 306,500 air filter, loose bolt on air filter housing fixed, new valve cover breather hose.

2002 Records
4 Jan 309.554 oil change
11 April 312,112 Steering box rebuilt by ADCO Power Steering in Houston. No more leaking and the box is much tighter.
22 April 312,877 oil and filter change.
July 315,670 Converted A/C to R134a Works great even in HOT Humid Houston.
08 Oct Front end vibration. discount tire rebalance and rotate. Noticed rear pads getting thin.
10 Nov 316,613 Oil and filter change. All new door lock actuators installed. That combined with the new vacuum lines has made a vast improvement in the vacuum system. No apparent leaks now.

2003 Records
03 March 319,000 New rear brake pads, New front calipers, pads, sensors, rotors, repacked wheel bearings. Flushed and bled brake fluid. Proper frontand rear wiper inserts. Reglued hoodpad on couple areas. Lubed throttle linkages. Adjusted transmission detent cable.
16 April 320,200 Cleaned the sheepskin covers and reinstalled. Waxed car. Replaced all fuse with new. Redid the front license plate mounting with proper bracket and stainless steel bolts. Also fixed the rubber front bumper guard. Installed new plastic mounts underneath the bumper strip.
17 April 320,217 miles; swapped wheels and tires from my other Mercedes adn 1983 300SD. This 300SD has 96,000 miles and the tires and wheels are NEW!!!! So now the old 300TD wagon has new wheels, lug nuts, and tires. SWEET! Selling the 300SD - hmmmm wonder what other parts we can "borrow?" Noticed worn brake line. Time to order all new brake lines (cheap insurance).
August 2003 New parts in stock. Lower ball joints, brake lines, shocks, upper control arms, steering center rod, tie rod ends, steering link bushing repair kit, etc. Getting ready to redo the entire front end suspension.
September 2003 321,310 miles, valve adjustment with new gasket, oil and fileter change. Vehicle sold to nice couple in MD.
